    子供提督はじめました 102

    紅茶戦艦とか青い方の一航戦とか、出したい艦娘はまだまだいるし、戦艦達の改造とかもまだだったりと、正直まだいろいろと消化不良な感じではありますが、ひとまずここで一区切り。
    ここまでお付き合いいただきありがとうございました！
    あくまで『一区切り』の方向ですので、いずれ続きを投稿した際にはまたお付き合いいただければ幸いです。

    あと初心に帰った結果とか尺の都合とかで最後に登場できなかった山城さんにはお詫びとしてオマケ絵を用意させてもらいました。

    Especially since Negi managed to attract the interests of thirty one girls within the span of a single year, with most of them being secured within a mere handful of months since he started teaching them.

    To be honest, I've always interpreted this series as a fairly innocent depiction of the child admiral dynamic. The ecchi is kept at a bare minimum, and any affection the ship-girls display (e.g. Yamashiro in particular) is fairly ambiguous, ranging from sisterly affection and/or Mama Bear tendencies to The Jail Bait Wait at most.

    If and when it continues, he'll likely grow up to be a chick magnet of the Nice Guy variety.

    Negi didn't really get them all to fall for him, though... at least in the original manga version, which I, at least, consider the 'real canon'. (Akamatsu Ken's feud with his publisher having resulted in massive departure from what went into the anime and spin-offs.) The ending makes it pretty clear he didn't wind up with a harem, and he directly turned all but one of the girls that even tried to ask him out down.

    Basically half the class showed little interest, and by the end, there were only a half-dozen that were really seriously still in the running. In what I always suspected was a deliberate "screw you" to the anime, he put all three of the main love interests from the first half of the story on a bus, with fan-favorite characters like Nodoka and Yue getting new characters introduced just to have spares for their pairing. Then, suddenly, was-never-important-to-the-story-before Chisame is girl he spends all his time with! Plus, there was the obvious yuri-baiting-but-we-don't-have-the-balls-to-actually-go-ahead-and-make-them-lesbians with Konoka and Setsuna, and Natsumi was paired with Kotarou. (That said, there were girls introduced in the manga later on that fell for him, including the Becoming The Mask double-agent...)

    As for this admiral, I just hope he shows more appreciation for his non-Murakumo destroyers doing the heavy lifting, especially 'Bono, in the future. As much as Yamashiro does need some love, being seduced by heavy firepower, alone, and taking the expedition crews for granted is likely to lead to problems. (Including the "we don't need to Kai if it means losing firepower"...)

    Well, kidmiral has yet to do 1-5 and 3-2. The other destroyers will get their chance to shine there. :D

    Bono nee-chan and her team surely would have gained quite a few levels from their hard work. Exp 6 in particular sometimes reports unusually high amounts of ship exp upon completion.

    He's gonna need a CVL soon though. ( '3')a
