In the manga Being X is depicted as a council of several gods, so I am guessing the original poster was referencing this particular aspect. But regardless which interpretation of Being X we take (each version is different, from the light novels, to the manga, to the anime), he does make Tanya ridiculously overpowered, so the point of her having his favour stands (his own less-than-benevolent motives notwithstanding).
