    @Totaku

If this is a chapter, you really need to both tag the artist and create a pool to put them all into. Without either one, the only method of figuring out what others are supposed to be part of the story is to look at your upload history.

Edit: If you don't know how to do something, look up the related help wiki page. (Help:tagging in this case.) To create a new artist tag, use "artist:artist_name". You don't need to put _(artist) when there is no existing tag with that name, as it just makes tagging things more tedious to add unnecessary non-alphanumeric characters.

If you're going to create a new artist tag, remember to actually populate their wiki page with, at the very least, their Japanese-alphabet username and a link to wherever they are posting their work.

To create a new pool, go to the "Pools" tab on the top, the "new" tab on the sub-menu, and create a name. Pool names follow a format similar to the one I created for this new pool.

You should also be tagging WAY more than you are doing, here. Even in a monochrome work, you should be able to apply at least a dozen tags for hairstyles alone for three characters, plus about another dozen for clothing, and about half a dozen for facial expressions. Click the "?" on the character pages for the wikis - in at least most of the KanColle character wikis, there are hotlinks to most of the standard outfit tags that apply to a character, and that should give you a good starting point. (If there aren't any, as some of the older characters are missing a lot of information, do update it.) I did some of the most obvious, here, but you might want to go back and start re-tagging the previous uploads.

By the random by, the game tag does not refer to, like, "from a game" sort of thing; it's a tag meant to be placed on Flash Games uploads.

Based on the comments on the pixiv page, I think she just misread the kanji rather than there being any actual pun (in the sense that she forgot how 隊 is written and misread 逐 as 隊). So an English equivalent would be to somehow deform the word "Destroyer" into a more commonly known day-to-day word.

    ---

On a separate topic, I looked up 頭脳縛りプレイ on the nico-nico pedia page and, unless I misinterpret it (which is possible), it should means something along the line of "a game made harder due to the player's lack of knowledge", instead of "limited-knowledge playthrough" which seems to suggest blind playthrough like those on youtube.

But since I'm not exactly sure, I'll just put this in the comment in case any other translators come across this pool.

It's a pun even if it's a pun by the artist, rather than the character. (Or in this case, something like a homograph, I suppose...) It seems to pretty clearly lean on the fourth wall, since how could an in-universe character who is hearing kanji she doesn't know spoken aloud make a mistake about what the kanji looks like, even though it makes the actual sound drastically different?

Anyway, I'm not sure that's what it really should be, since it's not like "駆隊艦" is any actual word, and it turns the word into something like "driving-squad ship". I get the sense like there might be an intentional play on destroyers being a ship meant for being in groups.

I was trying out many different ways to phrase it, but "What a game-made-harder-due-to-the-player's-lack-of-knowledge playthrough!" just doesn't roll off the tongue, you know? (And it would have just as much of an implication of a blind playthrough as "limited-knowledge"...) If I make it "What a limited-intellect/dim-witted playthrough", the phrasing implies the playthrough is dim-witted.

I guess I'll just need to yank it further from literal...

I'm just going to remind you that there's technically no fourth wall breaking since this is a Let's Play manga whereby the player is drawing out what he/she sees rather than actually drawing him/herself as part of the in-game cast. This is evident by all those floating buttons and even the previous 工廠 thingy.

And I'm just going to quote one of the comment and reply from the artist on pixiv:

    Anon:
    逐が読めないのは、仕方ないっぽい!
    ・・・でも、誤読にしても隊はないっぽい!

    Artist:
    字が似てるっぽい。くたいかん

And there are a dozen more comments that joke on how the artist should take extra lessons on Kanji.

Hence, yes, it's very likely that the joke is either how she misread 逐 is 隊, or how she assumed 逐 is read similarly to 隊 (which is unlikely since the punchline is written in kanji rather than hiragana).

I would just go with "What a game/playthrough that challenges the player's intellect!".

It still isn't a literal equivalent, as with the other renditions, but at least it still centers around the idea of the game being "difficult"(/s) for all the wrong reason.

Just because a series constantly breaks the fourth wall doesn't mean you can't point out individual instances of it happening. In-universe Wakui was reading the word "Arsenal" and couldn't read it, this time, she was hearing the word spoken to her, and couldn't read it.

Alright, I'll go for the homograph, then...

That implies the game is challenging because it would be trying for anyone's intellect, not that it's challenging because of this specific player's lack thereof. Anyway, I changed it again to "bumbler".

It's a "Let's Play"-style manga, so all the rules of the game are (probably) in force. Meaning, so long as she doesn't advance a node in heavy damage, everyone's totally safe. Plus, they just need to go trot out to meet I-class-san then come home to meet Shirayuki.

There you go, about the best you can make it to get orthographic word play intact.

... I totally thought it was "D-Storers". She misreads the kanji "逐" for "隊", which makes the word gibberish and sounds totally different. See the comments for more.
Akatsuki-class destroyers Inazuma and Hibiki shall now...
    Eh?
    ...Destroyers?
    That's our ship class.
As expected, this is very embarrassing...

    Eeeeeeh?!

What an ignorant bumbler's Let's Play! Can this female admiral manage to sortie safely?!
