Reason why Kemono Friends art doesn't pop as soon as other animes, say, Tanya or Kanna: most artist didn't stay watching after the first few episodes. As soon as some began to draw, others flock in and start watching/drawing. The premise of the show that's kinda silly, bad voice acting and it being 3d animated doesn't help.

Ok finished my binge of the 6 episodes so far and I can fully agree with what you have said. If I had picked it up normally I doubt I would have gotten to the 3 episode rule it was really awkward feel at first. I must admit by the time I reached episode 3 I was enjoying it. Its not any big plot but it has this underlying plot and the characters are all rather interesting. I can easily see it getting written off and probably still will by many but its rather cute if it had a rating it would probably be E. Though it does have some hints of darkness.
Any anime fan with kids would probably find this perfect for the young ones and the little trivia its like Japanese animal planet sponsored special
