Eh, I get where he's coming from. I never played it but from all the talk I've heard about it I honestly thought there was an official English version.
Sounds like he's just overwhelmed at the popularity of it as well.
He needs to understand that lots of folks are willing to buy a copy of the game if they can play and understand it in their native language, whereas on the other hand, few people would buy a game they can't read. Would probably be better off if he reached out to the translators to get the game TLed officially, if that's a concern; most of these guys patching ero games are doing it for free out of the sheer love of the game, and probably wouldn't mind handing over all rights to the translation work they've done, some even without asking for credit.
