    I'm sad whenever I see dubs change a character's personality just to fit the audience or for the hell of it.

    I see this quite a lot with Pun characters (happens almost too much to animal or elemental characters) where the original Japanese only makes a few remarks about their origin but the dubbed version adds a pun nearly every 2 sentances. Pokemon is sadly affected by this for some of their trainers.

    I much prefer the JP iteration of Effie, where she's demure and quiet, but conceals tons of raw power underneath her pretty face and prim hairdo. I don't like jock Effie.

    I'm in the interesting position of hating when characters personalities are changed and loving the original

    But also having a huge soft spot for jock girls

    What should I do?
