They're doing a parody of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (original version of Power Rangers Dino Charge), where the default Ranger Weapons are oversized revolvers and the running theme is Zamba Dance-esque dancing, which explains Quetzalcoatl's appearance. Medusa Lancer's appearance may be a reference to the Pink Ranger, but I'm not sure.
