Although I have noticed something. Comics featuring the Tengu Trio or Maribel the Raging Lesbian seem to get translated far more than comics featuring other characters. Comics with Chen seem to be the least likely to get translated.

While I do greatly appreciate that some of these do get translated, I have been curious as to why some do not.

Is there something off-putting about the other characters that drives the translators away?

It may just be because the strips with those characters are way more interesting and fun.

I don't like this author's Chen and Keine. They're just plain mean and not funny to me. (I also find his Reimu/Marisa relationship to just be depressing and his Patchouli tentacle jokes to not be very funny.) So unless there's some other redeeming factor in the comic, I tend to skip those.

I want more Chen. The classroom has added new members and I'd like see how they'll crush what little spirits they have.

And reminder that the only real difference between Keine and Maribel that only one of them is a rapist. For now.
