Carl Barks was one of the primary artists of the Donald Duck comic books (which included Scrooge McDuck, and was basically the comic Duck Tales the more recent carton took off from), and also the inspiration -and later close friend of- Osama Tezuka, the guy who basically invented anime when creating Astro Boy, the first manga and anime.
