"She wanted to replace them" was poor excuse for spectacular show-off to remind people about her presence as sage. She do that sort of thing once in a while.

She seems to think of them more like tools than actual people, pretty much mind-controlling them.

Yeah, there are many of them, but um, usually stage 6 boss and stage 5 boss care a lot about each other (Sanae and Kanako, Orin and Okuu, Yuyuko and Youmu, Miko and Futo & Tojiko, ecc) this is the first time in TH where the stage 6 boss dislike her subordinates, so that is because i notice this, unlike the previous games ,in HSiFS, it will be OOC having a stage 6 boss care about the stage 5 bosses
Still it's a heartwarming fanart, and maybe in future works Okina will start to appreciate them
