    I've replaced the donbei_kitsune_udon tag with donbee_(food) so that it can be applied to all of the Donbee series.

    この状態はふっくらじゃないんだって
    In its current state it doesn't seem to be soft and fluffy.

    なんで僕たちが
    Why do we have to do this...

    狐が出てるから、らしいわ
    Well, apparently because a fox might appear.

    たしかにこれはふっくらしてるわね
    Certainly, that does look quite soft and fluffy!

    かわいい！この娘も狐かな
    Cute! I wonder if she's also a fox.

    キタキツネに似てるわね
    She kind of resembles you!

    んんっ… どうすればあの状態になるのかしら
    Hrm... Just how do we make this like that, I wonder...

    分かった、踊ったらできるんだよ
    Oh, I get it. If you dance, the food will cook.

    While I wish I could be stay optimistic as you, Kantai Collection is what comes to mind the last time Kadokawa had its way with a series with sudden rise in fame. That anime was blubbering mess full of pointless fan service and I feel that's the direction these morons are gonna try to take this series. Now that Yaoyorozu is pulled out of the project, this further solidifies for me this series is pretty much dead, as the things that made the series so great is likely not going to be there in the second season.

    Yup. For anyone that needs to be up to speed about this whole affair between Kadokawa and Tatsuki/Studio Yaoyorozu, I'd suggesting reading this and keeping up to date with the reddit megathread.

    Honestly, this sucks, the news that continues to come out, with the recent shield of seiyuus scandal perhaps being one of the cringiest and saddest things to come out of a company. The Kemono Friends we know and love might really be dead for good if we don't win this fight.
