I love how Choroli is so dedicated to making these pictures look as authentic as possible. He doesn't just use 90's art styles, he also adds film grain, uses 90's technology in place of modern technology, and uses 90's tropes. It's like looking into an alternate universe where Garupan came out in the 90's.

Kinda reminds me of the "Homestuck Anime" from 2012. For those of you who don't know about that, here's an article explaining it. See what I mean about the similarities?

Yeah, there's also the tiny details, like using a bow instead of a neckerchief. Those bows just scream 90's... I'm guessing they were just easier to animate...?
