A New Dimensional Robot! The Debut of Dainexus

I drew this to commemorate the debute of a new main character card for the Dimensional Robot deck, Dainexus. .... My apologies if I got the design wrong.

    ■ I got the idea that he has to be a young warrior, so I ended up drawing him in the style of that one scene from a certain movie, but I'm not sure what I'll do if his background says he's a veteran fighter...

that one scene from a certain movie

Huh, is the 1986 Transformers movie really iconic enough in Japan that you can just say "that one scene from a certain movie" and people will know what you mean? I mean, it's iconic enough in America, sure (at least if you're a big Transformers fan), but the Japanese parts of G1 (Headmasters, Victory, etc.) had even more continuity errors than the American series simply because Japan didn't get the movie until years later (hence Wheeljack being a major character in one arc of Victory despite having been killed off in the movie). I'd kinda assumed that, because they didn't get the movie for such a long time, it would have been mostly ignored when it finally did come out.
I mean, the 1986 Transformers movie is my favorite movie of all time, so I'm glad that I was wrong, but still. It wounds my pride as someone who loves Transformers more than anything else that I was wrong about my favorite movie's place in the Japanese side of the fandom.
