I mean, wow. Just wow. Just because an artist does works of other series doesn't make their works any less good. It's still the same artist, and it should be the same quality as their previous works.

I don't see an issue with what he said. I stopped following him too because I can't stand Fate. It's not a knock or insult to the artist or saying he can't draw whatever he wants.

Good to see some people understand my point of view without making a judgment out of it.

I had no idea about Fate at all... but then, I didn't have any idea about Kancolle when I started reading his Kancolle works, and I was rewarded with cute characters and situations that required very little Kancolle knowledge to appreciate.

And so it was with "We Got Married" - I didn't need to know at all who Mashu or Gudao were, but I still got an adorable and fluffy tale of two bashful and lovestruck people being awkwardly romantic with each other.

What I'm saying is, I'd read a kouji comic about people doing their grocery shopping.

I think some folks hate the Fate series so much that it colors their perception of anything set in it.

Which is a shame, because they missed out on what was basically a Tokonatsu-Fubuki side story with different faces.

I stopped following him because I don't have any interest in Fate. I don't hate it; I don't know the characters, I don't know the plot, I don't know anything about the series, thus I don't really care to read a comic about it regardless of the author. It's like if Kouji suddenly started drawing portraits of cars: (I at least hope) nobody would start blasting others for not wanting to look at their current art, regardless of quality, if they had previously been in it for the characters.

I think most of the people here are overreacting, Darkagma never said that Kouji can't draw whatever he wants. There's nothing wrong with not following an artist when they draw something that doesn't interest you, no matter how good the artist is there's some things they can't make you start liking. If Kouji started drawing something like K-On! I would also stop following him until he started drawing something I liked again.

When you think about it though, going from Mash to Hamakaze isn't much of a difference.
