There seem to be more and more cases of people complaining about incomplete translations, so before anyone complains here, the ones I left out are sound effects and heavy breathing only.
So I did. I've somehow trained myself to ignore titles on 4koma. What's a good translation for 'do-n', then? Technically it means thud, but that's no good for breasts. I was thinking boing/bounce, but that, while those work in English, they are nowhere close to the intended meaning in Japanese.
'do-n' is more like a deep, bass drumbeat. It's often used in old-school Japanese humor to indicate that a punchline had been delivered, so the audience should think about it until they get it.
To the classical Japanese mind, jokes aren't supposed to be funny if there's not a certain level of complexity to them.
