What about #4? The kid find Salter before she says anything.
6. Salter is startled by the phone ringing / noticing who exactly is calling her and the phone is ultimately rendered inoperable, whether by crashing into the ground or falling into a conveninently nearby body of water, or otherwise ends up somewhere out of her reach. Jalter and her hubby's worrying intensifies over Salter not answering the call.
