I had to look a few seconds too but I noticed something and one of the tags confirmed this.
At first, I kept looking at the shoulder because of how the sign was placed on the pic. Then after reading you, I read the tag, look at the pic again and I understood that it's more from the front.
I don't even care about her breasts, just make her 6 feet tall like she's supposed to be! And stop trying to give her heels.
Everything about "Zero Suit Samus" since Zero Mission has been a total travesty and desecration of a once mighty heroine, so you're better off just giving up on it. Metroid Prime only happened because Nintendo stopped caring about the property, and western developers could make a decent series from it, and because they made it popular again, the man who originally accidentally made the series started ruining Metroid. Maybe the series will fall enough for third party developers to be given a crack at reviving the series again, but Metroid is sadly in the same position as Sonic at this point.
Even in Smash Bros, I used to main Samus in the original game and Melee, but then Brawl came along with Zero Suit Samus, and made Samus essentially unplayable (along with making Shiek, who I mained in Melee, becoming literally the lowest-tier character).

I have no idea what on earth you're talking about. She's amazing in the suit and out.
Her thighs are bigger in Ultimate though. And she is more toned.
That's an upgrade in my book.
Ultimate is best Zero Suit thus far IMO, perfect mix of buff, busy, curvy, and toned. Like she could absolutely kick my ass while looking amazing and cool
you realize that every ending for every metroid has Samus in various stages of cheesecake with the fastest times are normally her in shorts and a sports bra, all before zerosuit was a thing. so your complaining is literally pointless. She is a warrior, a badass and coincidentally, due to CHOZO genetic manipulation the perfect woman.
I mean, she rolls up into a ball much smaller than the suit could realistically be crushed down into, I think the accuracy of proportions isn't really a focus for the developers.

For me, the Zero-Suit was the beginning of Samus's journey to Other M. Admittedly, even though Fusion introduced it, I think it was just as a solution to the question of how to show her suit melding into her body without being horribly grotesque. I think, to Fusion's credit, it wasn't even in the bonus gallery, where Samus instead had actual clothes, and I really enjoyed seeing that outfit again in SSB4.
Zero Mission was where it was revealed that the Zero-Suit was actually the same as every sci-fi skin-suit that has ever existed. Not coincidentally, Samus's design also was changing from her initial design, from Super Metroid and Fusion, to Prime 2 & 3 (the horrible baby-face she gets in the ending). And then, of course, Other M.
I disagree that Metroid has 'always' had the cheesecake endings. Metroid 1 had her in what was basically a swim-suit, sure, but she was also, what, 12 pixels tall? The artist had to show both that she had taken off her power armor and she was female, all without doing a closeup.
Super Metroid had her in her top and basically a thong, but Fusion and Zero Mission (minus the Zero-Suit image, which, of course, was an ass shot, because skin-suit) had great galleries of her showing her interacting when she's not on the job, and her two-piece, while revealing, was functional, and something she went out in public in. Skin-suits are the same thing as saying that hentai portrays women fine, 'Look how happy they are.'
And her boots weren't garish stilettos.
Samus used to to be drawn in the old anime style, then Zero-Suit said, "What if she were naked?" and Other M replied, "And also new anime?"

^ This comment right here hits the hammer on the metaphorical arses nail.
Metroid 1-3 I hail as one of the best trilogies in games period. Metroid Fusion was the natural follow-up to this and a fantastic entry to the series.
But Metroid Prime? That game never jived with me. Playing it, I can enjoy it, but there's no way I can accept it into the canon of Metroid because it doesn't physically fit in between the other games. The only way Metroid Prime can fit in is if we disregard the events of Metroid II & III respectively and say that after Metroid 1, the timeline split somehow. But I'm getting off-topic a bit.
In Metroid Fusion, there were a few ending scenes that depicted Samus as without armor. She'd wear boots, tight shorts and a tight top resembling a sports bra. Midriff bare. The JP version had a few more ending screens depicting her past into teen years wearing something that resembles a one-piece tank-top outfit that I can only assume is the basis for the coming Zero-Suit.
But here's the thing. Metroid 1-4 all show a natural progression of Samus' looks. When they made Zero Mission, they retconned her entire appearance and subsequently changed her height and everything, so that she would fit into the role of the trope typical " Strong willed woman is actually meek and short and need to look up to a man ". Not necessarily a bad thing if done right, but it wasn't done right. It was done right in Fusion, but changing her height from being 6'ft to being what, 5.4? Is a betrayal of the character in my opinion.
Okay, I'll stop here because I just find myself rambling. But between my insane Dr. Wily ramblings here I hope you understand the point I am making here.
Metroid 1-3, a fantastic self-contained story that didn't need a sequel. It got Metroid Fusion, which fit in, and was great. - Then they ruined it all.
