It's probably for the best that they kept this simpleton meeting the Queen.
She's just a powerless figurehead, too. So long as you just get him to talk about how much he loves Corgis in a slightly reserved manner, it should be fine.

Except she's more intelligent than him. Seriously, Ido's Admiral is incredibly simple minded. That's why Gotland was able to get away with things.

Yeah, but it's not a contest of intelligence, he just needs to avoid declaring war or taking his pants off while making human-like sounds for the duration of the meeting.

He did very well against the Abyssals in Also Sprach Ark Royal (which Ido is currently in the process of making available for free). Or just had lots of dumb luck, but still, credit to the team!

Actually, the Queen has quite a bit of power even to this day, such as she can prevent laws from being put in place or remove political leaders from power in any of the Commonwealth Regions if push comes to shove among other things.
The most recent major thing she did was appoint the current Prime Minister after David Cameron quit after the Brexit referendum.
Akitsu Maru, look!Oh, that's amazing!I'm in the middle of work.I'm all thumbs at these kind of ceremonies. At least actually look! And anyway, this really is work for the Admiral, right?I wonder where he is and what he's up to?But to tell the truth, it was a little stifling in there.Swing! The Work of the Admiral!Title parody of "Ryuuou no oshigoto!"Fine work, Nagato. That's wonderful. Her Majesty is well chuffed too.JAPAN
