I don't know if its because I lack the necessary understanding of Buddhism, but while the recent arc certainly isn't bad, I lost track of what was actually happening and why.

Current arc summarized: After Phos returned to the Earth and picked up Gems that wanted to get 'second opinions' from the now-known-not-to-be-so-hostile Lunarians, they formulated a plan to make Adamant restart the soul-ascension function of his, which presumably broke in few last thousand millennia. Cair fell in love with the Lunarian Prince, Phos got presented with a choice to kill all lunar Admirabilis (which has ingested gem particles on the lunar surface and evolved to have their shell into internal skeleton, or non-detachable) to revive lower-hardness gems or only resurrect high-hardness gems. Now Phos returned to Earth, got shattered and his/her shards are being kept apart in secret to prevent him/her reforming and taking more gems to the moon.
So yeah, now the focus was not the Earth, but the Lunarians.
