personally I think "bread" is better or if you want some distinction, use "pastries", because "pan" isn't English for bread. A person might mistake it for "pancake" or something.
I second the use of "bread" just because "pan" is Spanish for bread, not French (which bread is "pain"). Dunkerque is French, so her using Spanish doesn't make sense.
Sorry about that. I heard so many times "pan" in japanese that I forgot the correct word in english (the same kind of thing happen when I stay more than a month in an english country to the point I even forgot some words in my french mother tongue while I know the word in english).
