We already have follow Pokémon and he’ll we already have finished animations for the Pokémon in battle. Just have them recycle se basic movements and you’re good to go.
You say that, but they got rid of HMs for a reason...
Well, HMs would take move slots of your Pokémon (although quite some people would just get a HM slave and call it a day), and didn't have animation of the Pokémon doing the stuff, but even so it still had its charm. Then S/M came with the ride Pokémon, which was something I wanted since I started playing these games around Gen 3, but then we had to rent the Pokémon we needed, and all the excitement for that new feature was gone... Okay that not everyone will get a Tauros, Cranidos or any other Pokémon that could do equivalent of Rock Smash, so being able to rent the Pokémon you need is fine, but if I have the Pokémon I need, just let me use it, making a system were the player could ride any big enough quadruped (as 1 example) surely wouldn't be that hard. . . . Sorry for the wall of text.
