-Innate OASW DDs exist, and she has less ASW than Shiratsuyu so even a 7-1 Ring+1sonar niche is denied(well at least I can finally ring her since the kai-ni hp values are around and 5 DE pairs set aside to make her hp odd again)

Be grateful she even got a Kai 2. Think of us poor Admirals whose beloved Kanmusu will never, ever, ever get a Kai 2 or even art upgrade.
And also, as if stats mean shit if you’re a destroyer. My Sami sinks battleships with ease and dodge torpedo and planes like no tomorrow. Love (and high level, equipments, formations, modernization and sparkles) is what gives them their true power

Yeah...no. Higher levels means that even more DDs will close the OASW gap making her performance stand out even less because the ones with actual firepower could OASW as well. Same with equipment, a max daihatsu would mean an even bigger multiplier on the gap...and no equipment stat is ever going to replace the +7 AACI that Duckies and Fetchers have access to that Sammy doesn't.

If you’re not already using her because you like her, then even Kai 2 is pretty meaningless. The firepower gap also means jackshit if the RNG decide to fuck you in the ass.
And if she didn’t become more popular because of her new art, I doubt anything else would help, especially not whatever measly stats since she’s a just destroyer.
But what do I know. I don’t give a flying fuck about stats or meta since I already have my own teams and likes and dislike and play more as a casual than anything else anyway.

Literally why RNG is doing the ass fucking for you, the 23 NP difference between say for example Isokaze and Sammy means at least a whole ~20% difference in the chance of fully disabling a ru-flag kai with night DAs, the difference further increasing to a whole ~30% difference if both were sparkled.
