For the longest time I thought that the thing bouncing off of Iowa was a bullet from the van. But looking at it now I guess it could be an ejected casing from Sammy’s MP5.
In which case Iowa’s “watch out” is referring to the stream of hot brass being thrown at her, and not return fire from the van.
And Sam is talking about how if she had a P90 it wouldn’t be a problem since the ejection port is located on the bottom.
Edit: For the record, don’t pick up rifle caliber casings that were fired literally seconds prior. Even if it was a blank.

7 or 8 year old me learned that the hard way.
Bingo. That was spot on.

Awwright, leave it to me!

The brass are flying over to my side!!
It's hot!!Can't be helped, y'see. Japanese cars are right-hand drive, after all.Pity I'm not using my usual rigging—the ejection port will be underneath then!I wish they would at least give me a P90.
Hee hee.The ammo for that costs an arm and a leg!!It's nervewracking even if this is supposed to be bulletproof...You're frickin' trigger happy, that's why!!
