Assuming the quality is going down by only judging one post isn't that accurate.

I mean...yeah, that's exactly how it works. Approvers approve based on their preferences, unlimited uploaders upload based on their preferences, and both are supposed to be chosen for having good taste. Not sure what he was up to with this one, though.

Good point.

If you must know, I genuinely like this pic and thought more would too, that is why I uploaded it. However we can see that is not that case, and that is fine. I'm not a machine that can detect 99% approval rate of a picture. Each one is a learning experience and so will this one be.
In the end, I'm just glad it reached some people that might like it who don't necessarily check pixiv or twitter before it dies.

This is funny because you're a Builder who legit does have a 99.5% approval rate.

This is mistaken. Unrestricted Uploaders do not have to have their posts approved. This is why you’ll find that the worst posts in status:active were uploaded almost without exception by Unrestricted Uploaders. This wouldn’t be so much of a problem if Approvers tweaked their standards such as to more consistently approve posts with quality that clearly at least match that of the worse half of the recent posts in status:active.

The current situation is a problem for a variety of reasons which I won’t go into here. However, one thing that’s very important to note is that many of the posts in status:active approver:any were passed up by a number of approvers before they were accepted.

Alternatively, users with unrestricted uploading privileges could be held to a higher standard, with the possibility of losing that privilege if they make a habit of using it to slip subpar artwork past the queue. Approvers shouldn't be expected to compromise their standards just to pander to the masses.

Pinkjoe is a decent artist, it looks like he just had a bad day here.
