    Any person who has encountered this foe in any of the latter Final Fantasy titles most likely shares my distress against this abominable fiend. Hence why he naturally came to my mind when a forum I visit held a fanart competition for videogame monsters. Or random battle encounters. Or all/none of the above.

    That was quite some time ago, though, so this image has been lying around my computer with no shading and background, hence why I decided to polish it up and upload it here as it had so much potential left. A Malboro is sometimes seen as a plant, sometimes as a beast, but its general appearance is lots of tentacles for both movement and vents for acid and gas, along with an enormous mouth between its two ends. I suppose eyes are optional, especially if you consider the dark and damp places it usually can be found in.

    Sketched first on paper, and then used Photoshop CS2 to outline it (pen tool), color it, shade/lighten and create a background.
