    Using a sibling relationship to test the waters for something else? A don't know about that approach. In a way, it's more intimate than dating, but the expectations are curbed. As long as you don't treat it like a kink, it'd be a good way to get to know someone, while recognizing that regardless this person is going to be a part of your life until the day you die, one way or another.
