May I take a crack at it?
Even while technically committing rape, the girls give off a comforting playful aura. They're built like a stack of pillows you'd sink into. Assertive, while gentle.
Everyone likes an underdog. And appreciating the effort made, relative to the apparent ability. The girls like to see their victims resist temptation, and then try to overcome their limits in terms of strength and experience. It's like a hero's story.
There's a fine line between underdog and victim. Training and abuse.
(The discrepancy in numbers also ties into the underdog nature of the encounter. The girls are passive, goading, and prodding, but not domineering. The boys are drunk on their own senses.)
Boys are also pure and free of responsibility. They can act without restraint. And in an odd way, the girls can keep themselves "pure", even while seducing scores. They're never at risk of losing control, and the boys have no prior experiences that may have sullied them.
Why is it different with girls and young men? Isn't it obvious? I mean, crazy lolis going after older males is a scenario I'm sure many are familiar with, but men seducing young girls is almost a completely foreign concept to most people. Most people imagine child grooming as giving of material things, before snatching them away to a locked room, and having their way with them before casting them out if they're lucky.
Men are not regarded as sources of comfort. Men are regarded as predatory. At best, men 'play' rough. Men have to be responsible, even in situations that test and may well be completely beyond their control. In fact, the scenario playing out in the original piece in question, part of the charm may in fact be the boys attempting to take responsibility as though they were men, to become of age, a rite of passage.
At any rate, the downsides of these encounters are not being depicted. People are free to assume everything is fine and will work out, if for no other reason than that it's obviously a work of fiction. The characters aren't people, they're mere expressions and ideas. They're basically fairies, impressionable, but fleeting.
