FINALLY Haori joined AL, never thought the original art will become Hermione design, GREAT JOB! and must have shipfu!
Have links to the originals in question by any chance. Also i'm not sure why but that expression is scaring me while being cute.....should i be worried?
Knowing how the EN translators butchered Cheshire's lines with 'meow' puns to the point where it's a hassle to read, I wouldn't be surprised if they inject some Harry Potter jokes into Hermiones lines.

That or mention how a siren she was dealing with died offscreen because they got pursued by a bear.

Given all the controversy surrounding JK Rowling right now, I wouldn't count on it.

Cheshire's Japanese lines has her swapping out "na" for "nya" (meow) in some places. The most direct way to translate this is with "meow" puns.
Though her Chinese lines lacks this entirely and just have her speak as the usual moe maid archetype.

*sigh* I REALLY wish the EN version of AL would find a new publisher, because it feels like Yostar needs to change crap around from the CN version for pointless reasons, like San Juan's lines and Baltimore's tattoo. Hell, I heard the plot of Skybound Oratorio was completely different than from CN, such as one minor character changed to be a traitor, or another character is mentioned as being simply rescued instead of resurrected from the dead.

Wait, did they ever actually remove Baltimore's Black Ace tattoos in the EN server? I don't think they did...

No, they didn't, the only issue that ever happened with tattoos that I can recall was Alabama's tattoos being missing temporarily, which was fixed after a few days. Also Skybound Oratorio being "completely different" is greatly exaggerated.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but what are the differences?

It's important to note that the creator of the thread used machine translation for the CN story, and apparently made no attempts to corroborate their findings with anyone who can actually read Chinese. A lot of the scenes they complained about being different or weird in EN looked barely any different from the CN text to me. The absence of religion in the CN text might even have been the result of Chinese censorship, and a lot of these things that are different have no real bearing on the overall plot.

Absence of religion? Aside from not explicitly mentioning the Iris are Christians, the dialogs are pretty religious.

There's a major lack of religious talk, what were you reading? In CN the entire event is described as a weapons test by the Ironbloods, in EN there's multiple mentions of sacraments and God, that are not present in the CN text.

Sorry, I was recalling the CN text only from memory. Holy crap, I checked back and you are right. There are a lot less religious talk than I remembered.
Actually, JP did. The Reddit post noted that EN is a direct translation of JP, which is an altered version of CN. If anything, JP is behind it all.
I think it's more likely CN is an altered version of JP. That's probably why EN is a translation of JP rather than CN. CN has their lines altered probably to remove religious references, because they are an aggressively secular country, and I've seen some lines toned down compared to JP, probably for fear of morality policing.
Light CruiserHermioneVA: Taguchi HirokoCommander, watching you easily handle your work makes me feel happy... I wonder why?
