Plus whatever the black hand is, it wasn't giving a warning, it was picking up the shelf because Raccoon picked it up. The wall message just happened to be behind it, which neither of them would have been able to read anyway.

If the black hand drops her outside the building, she just might escape from that nightmare alive.
I think this is also supposed to be the other view point of post #3830045. As in you can either enter this room tiny as a "doll" and have giants try to pick you up (seen in previous post), or as a "giant" with a room full of dolls (seen here).

I think this explanation makes the most sense. Though I wonder what happens if
- a friend picks up the doll but continues to hold it after they're picked up. - a friend drops the doll outside of the room in the void.
My guess is, since the doll is still moving away relative to the doll house as the hand is pulling the friend away, the friend will continue to be pulled further and further into oblivion as long as they're holding the doll. Not sure about the second though. Maybe they end up in the red sky dimension or some other dimension. Or maybe the just end up falling through space indefinitely.
