もっさり is an interesting word that has a few different meanings. I've tried to glean what I could, though it's possible I've gotten something wrong or overlooked nuances.

- an unrefined man
- a clumsy/oafish guy that's also unfashionable/uncouth
- someone/something with thick hair/fur

The term is also applied to some cellphones and computers that react slowly, like they're always one key press behind. In the oshiete1.goo.ne.jp link, usapy07 says:

もっさり≒もったり≒もたつく≒遅い
という意味ではないかと私は思います。
