    I filtered a little bit. Unfortunately PNG was 4 Megs, so I had to repack it again to JPEG, but at only 4% lossness.

    What filter did you use? I myself found GREYCstoration recently, and it does a really good job, besides eating ungodly amounts of CPU (can live with it) and RAM (less so).

    Well... If you can't see the difference and the noise in the original one, you may have to change your screen, pal.

    I just used Paint Shop Pro's Digital Camera Noise removal filter, plus some texture preserving smooth and then a very little edge preserving smooth. After all the filtering I used a little bit of High Pass sharpening in soft light mode to increase the contrast.

    But the results of those filters are like the awarpsharp in video. You blur a little bit too much. I'll try the program you mentioned, I'm a little bit tired of PSPro and how it fucks up the image with weird noise when you filter magazine or manga scans.
