This event was one of the more memorable ones, since it featured an actual new game mode, the first seasonal costumes (most of them pretty good), and an amusing enough plot with a footrace to decide which species gets to be the 13th zodiac sign. The result ended up being a photo finish iirc, and then declared moot because the judge Yukari had gone into hibernation. Whether it was going to get some kind of sequel this year, we'll never know.

Moyazou seems to have made a running gag out of Rumia and Piggy, the pig she made friends with in the first event, not realizing it was going to be dinner.

Gunstone is my personal preferred translation for 砲石 (houseki), the currency used for gacha and whatnot. Some people seem to have gone with Cannon Stone - can't speak for the majority, since I never got too involved in the community - but in my humble and correct opinion, Gunstone works better as a pun on "gemstone", as 砲石 is clearly a pun on 宝石 (also pronounced houseki).
