It's funny how in the game cutscene where they introduce Shiho and Chiyo in these Boko outfits, none of the other characters (except Rumi, who was collaborating with them) seem to be able to tell who is in the Boko costumes. This is despite how (as shown in this 4koma) the outfits don't cover their faces at all. The cutscene is Halloween themed, so the others think they were just some random people dressed for Halloween. You would think that Miho and and Alice/Arisu would at least recognize their mothers' voices!

I got the sense it was being played for some kind of comedic effect, but it's hard for me to be sure because the cutscenes are essentially text only (it shows the character art but the expressions don't change) and I was using machine translations to get the gist of it.
