    i don't know exactly the right colors, so i just made some up ><"

    anyway, few hours... not really that great... "orz
    i was just amazed by his realeased form ^_^
    and inspired by some artist who drew him...
    so i made mine too... i don't know if this release is right, oh well ><
    i used reference from the manga :/

    Apparently, even if you die, you can still fight and kill your opponent. Seriously, it's bullshit. -_-'' Like Aizen's power. It'd be like having a sword who's released power was "Autokills an opponent" or some crap like that.

    Eh~ The way I see it as is the Butterfly is just a crosshair of sorts. Soi Fon was originally targeting the dude's insides, but the mark can't appear there.

    Here, here...I know Ichigo's the hero and everything but geezus mary, how many 'transformations' does the boy have left? At least they're cool so I guess we can live with it....sorta.

    Ya know I really don't see why everyone compare Bleach and DBZ to be the same they're completely different, sure there actions scenarios may be similar with power ups and teleportation/shunpo, which are much better on bleach than DBZ.

    But still it I just don't see the comparisons I likd DBZ and I love Bleach and i would know I just don't see it. I'm sure someone will arue me but they're not the same.

    It's sonido now not shunpo ^^ I don't agree with you though, theres a clear link of DBZ and Bleach, which clearly lies in the anger power-ups. The point is theres no logical way for them to power up except without reason and out of nowhere, look at super saiyan, essentially what Ichigo's done lol.

    Actually, it's because you might love Bleach that you don't see the comparisons between the two series.

    Room of Time = Uruhara's Underground Training Facility
    Mutenroshi = Yoruichi (lolz, but true)
    Vegeta = Uryuu/Abarai (ermm, sort of, but you see the rivarly)
    Instantaneous Teleportation = Shunpo/Sonido
    Super Saiyajin = Ichigo to Shinigami Ichigo
    Super Saiyajin 2 = Shinigami to Bankai
    Super Saiyajin 3 = Bankai to Ichigo with Hollow Mask
    Super Saiyajin 4 = Ichigo with Hollow Mask to Resurrecion Ichigo

    Yajirobe = Marechiyo Ōmaeda

    Nah, Shunpo & Sonido are a carbon copy of DBZ's "lolz I'm moving so fast it LOOKS like I'm teleporting" technique whose name I've forgotten since it's been over a decade since I watched/read anything related to DBZ.

    I suppose but there just seems to me to be a distinct differance, You do offer good arguements though. No ones ever pointed out to me the similarities just complained about them. And who's to say Kubo wasn't a DBZ fan and slightly based his ideas for bleach off it, or keep some of the basic ideas lots of animes do it. Seem similar or down right copy others, doesn't bother me.

    And technically I love Bleach now and 'loved' DBZ when I was younger. Just to clarify.

    I will say though this new 'hallow form' of Ichigo seems like a bit of a stretch. It's like Ichigo already overcame his hallow yet now he has to fight it again? I don't know, I just hope Kubo offers a good explinantion for this new obsticle if it is one?

    Haha Im gonna wast my second post with this but whatever.

    Technically wasn't Sonido the Arrancar/Hallow for of 'Flashstep', and Shunpo was the Shinigamis version. And I can't remember the name of the Quincy move started with an R I think.

    You guys shouldn't forget that when Ichigo was transformed into shinigami with urahara's help, he gained access to 2 different 'power sources' - shinigami powers and hollow powers, which can be used simultaneously for double the normal power. This is the reason of his continuous powerups, and it makes perfect sence to me so far.

    During soul society arc he developed his shinigami abilities somewhat while his hollow powers remained sealed/random/uncontrollable. When he got Bankai he theoretically reached the last release stage, but he still has a lot of room to improve upon it. He has NO experience using it, only knows one technique, and hasn't learner anything about Zangetsu at all, so theres still room for growth.

    Then he started developing his hollow powers, and getting the mask on is just the first stage, and in no way the max power. The mask just signifies that he is acessing the hollow powers, exactly like basic zanpakuto with the shinigami, and it COULD theoretically have as much as 2 releases - resurreccion and segunda resurreccion. So I'd bet that this isnt even the final hollow release.

    What I dont get is how that 'lizard hollow' Ichigo fits into this progression. So far we have seen him using eithier only his shinigami powers or both shinigami/hollow at the same time. It could be that the lizard is how his hollow power alone would look like on its own, i dunno.

    Another thing, many people have been saying that Ichigos Bankai power/connection has weakened severely since the SS arc. So it's not like everyone except ichigo suddenly because super powerfull, it's him who got weaker. Maybe shinigami/hollow combo works like a pendulum, if you develop more hollow powrs the shinigami decreases. I think eventually Kubo will have to explain this is great detail.

    It's published by Shounen Jump. It's almost guaranteed to be chock-full of all the same shounen manga tropes that have existed since forever ago.

    If you enjoy Bleach, continue to enjoy it. If you don't enjoy Bleach, leave it alone. "LOL its Dee Bee Zee again" is a pointless argument, as is refuting it.

    In the end it doesn't really matter I suppose theyre two anime that exist seperatly. Thats how I see it, there have coincidental similarities but thats all.

    And some will dispute that, but it's true if you want to compare Ichigos progress in his power to The SS theory then you could compare Digimon or any other anime where a character has several different forms of power.
    It's like take The Matrix were did it get its ideas? Ghost in the Shell, I don't see people complainin about that one?

    I agree with AnCri123 completely. It's just a progression of power. In DBZ it was more like they'd hit a wall the bulldoze it down and keep getting stronger with no limitations. But Ichigo, from the start, has had severly held back strength and has subsequently been able to grow and obtain these greater powers.

    But in the end it's a difference in opinion, some see it this way, some see it that way. Discussion over lol.

    There are a lot of similarities between DBZ and Bleach; the same could be said for any shounen manga and DBZ, as that has become pretty much the benchmark. But there are some differences as well.

    The first difference is that Ichigo is essentially useless in a fight unless he's a shinigami, and since he's still alive, that means there are special circumstances that must be present before he can even fight (i.e. that gate Uruhara used to turn him into spirit form, or that symbol he got from Soul Society). This means that unlike Goku, who essentially had SS on tap as soon as he was able to use it, Ichigo's as good as dead without help before he "transforms."

    The second difference is in Ichigo's progression and general increase in power. Goku was an anomaly, but he was the hero: no matter what, he would come out on top, even if he had to die. Despite starting off as a gross underdog (being a lower-class Saiyan and having no formal training in martial arts) in many of his most important fights, Goku will win, unless a plot device is installed that will make him lose (and how many fights did he lose, anyway? Two?) Ichigo, on the other hand, is a perceived underdog (since it's quite some time before we realize that his father was of captain level at some point, and even Ichigo himself was not aware of the real extent of his own abilities) whose very method of gaining power in the first place is what allows him to keep getting stronger. Although it may look like he's just coming up with stuff out of his ass, Ichigo is the first Shinigami to have undergone Uruhara's "power-regaining" while still alive (since pretty much all Shinigami are dead to begin with), among a slew of other things that followed(such as the bankai training he underwent).

    Another difference is the villain: there was always a new, generally unrelated villain to show up next in DBZ. For Bleach, there's a mastermind who's been planning pretty much everything since long before Ichigo's birth. As is typically the case in any story, the closer you get to the final bad guy, the stronger your opponents will become (this is doubly true if most of these opponents work for said final bad guy).

    It could be argued that, to a certain extent, Ichigo's always been beastly strong; since the beginning, however, he hasn't had a good grip on his own abilities, because he was essentially fighting blindly. Rukia wasn't exactly equipped to teach him the proper ways of using his powers, nor was there ever really the time to do so.

    What's happening now makes sense: Ichigo, who was in bankai form, essentially got turned into a living (though at the time, dying) Hollow by Ulquiorra's blasting a hole in him. Up until this point, his Shinigami powers have been the primary source of his fighting ability, while the Hollow side of his powers have only supported that(though at times his Hollow mentality would take over, the powers used were still those of a Shinigami).

    At this point, however, the Hollow half of his powers has effectively been stacked on top of his Shinigami powers(I imagine that, were he able to control himself as an actual Hollow, the reverse would be possible for him to accomplish, assuming he was able to attain the level of an Arrancar). But since it required an awesome amount of damage and a strong will to live (for the sake of protecting Orihime) to attain this, it's probably not possible for him to turn back of his own accord. Also, we've seen that his brain functions are severely limited in this new form of his, as the only thing he cares about is protecting Orihime.

    In this case, like the use of the Hollow mask before it, Ichigo has had to trade some things off for power. This form in particular (I won't use Resureccion, as that's what the Arrancar call their sword release; this, then, should be called something entirely different) has massive drawbacks, and was likely only possible due to his surroundings: Hueco Mundo, the world of Hollows(this is also likely the reason why his Hollow mask use time continued to go up; like Chad, his Hollow powers are more stable in Hueco Mundo, and so are easier to use, though not necessarily control).

    This is something else that is unlike DBZ: the conditional usage of Ichigo's various abilities and the strength thereof(such as having to become a spirit before even fighting, powers that are increased in certain places, a loss of sanity/comprehension abilities, etc.).

    I enjoy both series and acknowledge their similarities (what shounen manga- especially if it contains fighting- ISN'T inspired by DBZ?). But to the people who only see DBZ in Bleach, maybe you're looking too hard.

    I don't think this is a Vasto Lorde form. He'd need to feed his inner Hollow with thousands of souls to make it evolve. I also don't think it's Resurrection, that has to do with a broken mask.

    In my opinion, there's a much easier answer to this whole thing and it's not even a (complete) Ass Pull. Anyone noticed how his mask kept adding red stripes throughout the story? The last time he used it before... ^THIS^ happened, it was close to half red, half white. To me, half Shinigami, half Hollow. But his Hollow growth didn't end here. It passed the 50% mark when Ichigo activated his instincts to protect Orihime, thus we now got a new form and a new mask.

    It wouldn't make sense if Kubo just built up the whole mask evolution and now just replaces it with a new mask without the evolution having any effect.
