Is there some significance to the last character of her name being written in Hiragana instead of the usual Katakana?

I think the whole thing is hiragana (probably a hiragana "ri" too), and as to why, I think it's a school swimsuit thing. At least I'm pretty sure I've seen other characters that have non-Japanese names (that are usually written in katakana) written with hiragana when it's on a school swimsuit.
