Not hating on the artwork but I find it strange that people are still doing Azur Lane and Hololive crossovers knowing all the shit that has happen meaning the chance of the two collaborating is less than that of a snowball in a tub of boiling water being heated by lava from the deepest pits of hell (which still have a higher possibility of survival, incidentally). Could've just called it any game with ship-girls or mecha musume and nothing would have been lost, really.
And even if they don't know, which I doubt is even possible given all the worldwide information on the web, still strange. Its like making a Genshin Impact x Hololive or whatever.
I mean why do people make arts of their fanfiction OCs? People just wanna make little "what ifs" in their own mind. I doubt they truly wish their art will ever make it into the real product.
The thing is, a lot of Hololive fans were introduced via Azur Lane and vice-versa, and everybody thought that association would stick around forever. It's not easy to let go of the past, especially considering how Houshou Marine was (and probably still is) a huge fan, with a bunch of streams where she rolled the gacha, openly lusted over the characters, and talked about what made their outfits so sexy. People were convinced that another collab was inevitable, and then Haa-chama had a Haa-chama moment that ended up having geopolitical ramifications.
I'm secretly holding out for the possibility that Manjuu get rich enough to move their studio outside of West Taiwan.

I doubt that if such a thing is to happen they would be able to escape the grasp of the CCP and China's grips. Even if they do somehow make all the money in the world and is able to move, the moment they do they will face the backlash of a billion whiny piss babies and they'll probably have their entire HQ burned to the ground for being traitors.
There's no winning for anyone and even if the relationship between the two company is still friendly, it would be the dumbest thing possible for either Cover or Manjuu (or Yostar) to never associate with each other again. Sad, really. But at least it doesn't mean that the Hololive members aren't still playing (we know a certain friend definitely is still whaling)
