I think "大丈夫かな..." should be translated as "Will this be okay...?" and "嫌がれなかった" should be translated as "Seems like she didn't hate it". The text is vague enough to maybe support either translation (although 嫌がれなかった is past tense), but in the art, he seems nervous about hugging her in panel 3 (his hand is shaking) and is surprised in panel 4 when she suddenly hugs him back, which supports my translation
