Legendary games shouldn't have sequels (or prequels) that are made many years after. Those are just evil plans to suck money out of the fans when they need some because the industry got slow. PE1 > PE3 > PE2 VP1 > VP2 Chrono Trigger > Chrono Cross (though at least CC was still good) Xenogears > every single Xenosaga combined

That's not always true, okay, companies like money and as fans we give it to them to make more so we can't dis them for making more. The original product will always remain original, nothing can change that.
And besides sometimes a update is good especially if we have better technology. If Mario or Zelda stopped at one where would they be? What about the FFs, granted opinions vary but each iteration is bringing in new stuff and ideas.
I, personally wouldn't mind a remake or sequel to VS because it was a great game that shouldn't have been shuffled away.
Believe me, I understand being a hardcore fan...but for some fans, keeping great things in the past is only good for those that were there so that they could hold it up for braging rights. Not everyone started in their fandoms at their conceptions, some fans got in late.
