Reminds me of Species Domain, where an elf girl raised by humans tries to LARP being "properly elven" by being a loner and being "mysterious" in chuuni ways. Then she meets a human who can use magic, but insists it's "technology" but which only works if he's using it (in Orkz fashion), who's basically a wizard LARPing being a scientist while the elf girl begs him to make "inventions" that will let her fake using magic to play out her own LARP.
