Honestly, I gotta ask how that kinda thing happens where people have to guess at who the artist is. Why is that kinda info hidden sometimes?

TLDR: Dishwasher1910, the artist, was famous (IRL) for being an obnoxious s#it in general, and his fans constantly pester other people, especially the other artist over Shinano design, which dish also draw but not chosen as the final pick. Not to mention the artist has the audacity to post an art of 'supposedly official' Yamato design. Your art being picked as official design in a game can do things, MANY THINGS including getting people rage at you, so artists generally chose not to announce if their art was picked over others' art to prevent the aforementioned fanatical fans attacking case from happening.

Can this dishwasher hate just die out already? AL hasn't been announcing artists for ships for a long time now even before Heidrich who btw is German not Russian. I remember having to look through kaede's artworks just to be sure they were the artist for Warspite's retrofit.

basically any botes introduced since the second IJN event the artists are no longer announced for better or for worst

Dishwasher is not the only artist to post mock-ups for ships not in the game yet, and plenty of them have been damn convincing. If you believed a ship design that wasn't posted to any official account was an official design, then that's on you. Even if the artist was saying it was official, you would be an idiot to believe them if official accounts aren't saying anything about it.

I've yet to see any proof of any of these claims from any of the people that keep mentioning them. You couldn't even get the ship's nationality right, so I'm as skeptical as ever.

I'm not exactly dissing dishwasher here, but if you look at the designs he posted as well as the ones that remained here, you'll see that most of his designs are not really in-line with AL 'theming'. I also only said that he posted 'supposedly official' art, which is ultimately overstepping his bounds over Yostar, and nothing about believing or any sorts; if anything, you'd want to bring that argument to his fans. The part that I've gotten the ships' nationality wrong, I admit, since even if I did raised her to level 70 for the event-limited chat bubble thing, I never used her or any Ironblood ship and gets them mixed with Northern Parliament even so often.

After the Anmi plagiarism incident, they're probably even less likely to say directly which artists are responsible for the character art

Again, where is this claim coming from? Dishwasher is not the only artist to ever post a convincing mock-up, and no one ever complains when other artists do it. If the claim being made is that he was telling people it was official, so what? That makes him a liar, but like I said you'd have to be an idiot to have believed him. Plus, it doesn't seem like Manjuu (for about the millionth time Yostar isn't the developer and isn't the one hiring the artists) cared all that much since they hired him.

Posting mock-ups is not illegal, people do it all the time, the worst thing he could've done is lie to his fans about it being an official design, which doesn't infringe on anything or companies would be sueing a lot more people.

What's this with all the radical opinions lately? It's either worshiping someone's footsteps or threatening to kill their family, sometimes first goes to second in a matter of days or even hours. And it doesn't look like only a fringe minority is doing this.
Are chill pills out of production or something?
