    Because not all vampire-lore says vampires shrivel up in sunlight.
    I'm also pretty sure Remi is mentioned as being able to live in daylight just fine, she just gets weaker and needs shade, like here.

    The game manuals like in Iamp state that remi is a vampire who's often seen in daylight.

    In fact, in the original Dracula, sunlight didn't even dent vampires. It just made them "noraml human" level.

    If I remember right, it was the german movie "Nosferatu" that started the whole "Vampire dies in sunlight" trope.
