For the record, Max Coffee is a brand of canned coffee with condensed milk. Reportedly it tastes overpoweringly sweet and milky without a whole lot of coffee flavor.

You can actually brew coffee without a maker although it's a tedious process, ya silly light cruiser.

... I now remember my first pure black Barako coffee and every nerve and neuron in my entire being started screaming for release. How granny brewed that mix without so much as a coffee maker astounds me to this day.

    That'd explain Mainz's thousand-yard stare.

The finely ground ones can be brewed by placing them on a pot with water and boiling them. My dad brews Barako coffee that way, and even as a heathen that doesn't really drink coffee but likes the cold bottled ones from convenience stores the barako gave a bit of a jolt.

If you want to do it properly Nordic style, coffee needs to be grinded coarse for pot brewing. Unless you're opting for Turkish coffee.

You can just add water to coffee grounds in a medium pot, and let it sit so the solids decants. I've done that when my presses has broke, but it's tedious, wasteful and takes more time, but it's a temporal solution when you need caffeine and have a crippling coffee addiction like me.

boil water in a kettle, add ground coffee, steep for 4 minutes, break crust and remove scum, pour through a fine mesh filter

The type of coffee brand I only hate is the coffee brand that pretends to be one.

Coffee maker? Sorry, we don't have anything like that at the dormitory...
But if you want coffee, the vending machine out in front of the entrance should do the trick.
There should be some M*x Coffee in there.
