Samus has more recently become better recognized for her blue bodysuit, so I think its nice they incorporated more blue into the armor design to keep with the trend. The red breastplate and green visor is still a solid nod to the original though. The result is really striking and vibrant.
It's a bit cut down, but still not decisively feminine or sexual. It's more organic too. Looks more like an armored cyber-suit rather than the larger mech armor she tends to be portrayed with. It looks really good.
I think this is an agreeable approach to making 'modern Samus' that still mixes in the high points of her design and history.
