Shoutout to Towers-of-Obscure who helped inspire this character.
The last villain character in my Radiant Force series. A young woman who's soul is torn between her innocence and her desire for vengeance.
Bio: As young girl, Nora was quite shy, anxious around others and not much of a people person. This innocent nature drawn the attention of school bullies who loved pranking and bulling her. One day while she was being picked on a younger Chloe Payne stood up for her and defended her from the bullies. The two became good friends in school and Nora began to open up more. As she grew up, she and her family ended up moving away and she fell out of contact with Chloe. As an adult she still retained some of her shy demeaner but still tried hard. She managed to earn a job as a artist's assistant alongside another person. This other person didn't like Nora very much and decided to sabotage the artist's recent paining and put the blame on Nora. Nora was banned from the artists studio, she ran away, her eyes filled with tears. She entered an nearby alleyway, sitting down with her head clutched in her arms, with a flow of tears traveling down her eyes. "It does pain me to see such a young soul such as yourself cry." A strange man appeared before Nora seemingly there to comfort her. "I can help you overcome your sorrow, to embrace your stronger side. All it takes is this little serum right here to boost that confidence, what do ya say?" She reluctantly agreed and allow the man to inject her. She felt a strong pain from the center of her head as it spread down her body, different thoughts overcame her mind until eventually she passed out." When she woke up, she noticed her arms were both different colors, she looked at a broken mirror and saw what had happened. Half of her body had turned a pale white with black hair, eyes and clothes, and the other side her skin was pure black with white hair, eyes and clothes. She clutched her head in pain and screamed, from that pain two large wings sprung from her back, one black and one white. Her soul now struggled within. One side represented her innocence wanting to be happy and do the right thing. The other side represented her repressed feelings of vengeance against those who wronged her.
Powers:
Blades of Light: From the white side of her body she can summon small blades of light to rain down on foes.
Blades of Darkness: From the black side of her body she can summon small blades of darkness to rain down on foes.
Light of Judgement: By combining the forces of light and darkness she can send a beam of light down onto the wicked, turning them into stone. Those turned into stone can only be restored to normal if she decides to restore them.
Body Split: Nora can split her body into two different versions of herself. Each side is completely colored by one half. While like this each of her selves can use their respective element but have a hard time working together. While each side retains the same memories their personalities are very different. Her white side is purely innocent, reluctant to hurt others and desires peace. Her black side is filled with dark thoughts of vengeance, hatred and lust.
Flight: With the wings on her back she has the ability to fly. She is capable of putting away her wings as well.
Inspiration and Design: Nora is a character that mostly owes her creation to Towers-of-Obscure. He came up with a number of concepts that I thought about with one of the things being wings. So I though why not make her angelic. Large angel wings would look well. The main theme of Nora was something I wanted to represent a struggle within. Light and darkness, Yin and Yang. For this I though was not show a way between her split sides. The character Gill from Capcom's Street Fighter gave me an idea for Nora. Have a white side representing her true self and a black side representing her dark desire to punish the guilty. The artist I worked with understool perfectly was I was going for and thankfully the final design is something I am very happy of. Will Chloe be able to save an old friend, we'll just have to wait and see.
