dandan, you're wrong. Rinnosuke's ability allows him to know the name of an item and its use, BUT not the way to use it. If you read CoLA, you will understand this. Btw, he must have spent a lot of time trying to figure how to use that sword.
Oh, and last thing. I'm glad that somebody decided to make male-female relationships in Touhou. I grew tired of always Marisax(Alice/Patchi/Reimu)

not to be crude or anything..but seriously?! who does not know how to use a sword!!..well if you mean magic power wise then I can agree.

There's no mention of it on the source page and Rinnosuke has been using the Kusanagi in fanworks long before his MUGEN iteration.

Knowing what something is and what it does is not the same as being able to use it. You may know how an airplane works, but you can't fly an airplane without fuel.

Bad eample is bad... it's more like you know what a hadron collider is, you know what is does and how, but you still won't be able to operate it...

His ability is:
1-Naming the item.
2-By saying the item's name, it's purpose becomes clear to him.

Thus another example: If you give him a sonic wave sword, he will know, that it is a sonic wave sword, he will know that it is used to slice things, but he still won't know that he needs to press the button to activate it...

The horned dudes. I'm more along the lines of them being some random youkai.

And seeing these posts, I think that the easiest way to get Rinnosuke into the games would be the fighting games and as a lethal joke character. I just can't imagine him in the shooters and sticking with the weak and non-combative canon nature of his, it best fits to have him use some of his store's items with hilarious (and deadly) effects. Throwing a gameboy has to be one of his specials.

Or we can go with the retired badass theory and he can do whatever the fuck he wants.
