Patchy happens to be the librarian of SDM, and the resident teacher. Koakuma is listed as the "Library Assistant" on the wiki, so one would assume that she helps Patchouli maintain it.

That doesn't really mean she make much money since Marisa will "Borrow" her books and never give it back. So instead,she maybe losing money.

They don't get paid, except in food and shelter, not even Sakuya. Of course, nobody but Sakuya does any work, anyway. (Sakuya probably has to handle the family accounts, however, so even if she doesn't get paid, she may get a chance to slip herself some nice things on the side...) In fact, it's a wonder how the SDM has any money at all, since Remilia doesn't own any kind of known business, and any money it may have had from before would not have been Yen, as they aren't origianlly Japanese. I guess if Patchu wants more disposable income, she can just author some basic magic books for sale in the human village, or something...

She could sell the plans for the drive she used in that moon rocket to NASA. They're looking for something to replace the Shuttle and the Ares rockets have been found to not be workable. She'll make millions maybe even billions.
Actually the SDM crew has to have some sort of income as just the materials for maintenance on a mansion like that would be very expensive. Supposedly Remi can cross the border so who knows what she does. Scarlet sisters could be the real heads of the Free Masons or Skull and bones. Come to think of it the latter would make a lot of sense.
