I actually agree completely, but that's not how we do things here. Sort of unfortunate in this case, but that's how policy goes sometimes.
Oh yeah, can anyone verify that this is a different artist than inazuma? I'm pretty confident that they're not the same guy, but a second opinion never hurts; isn't that why we're a community?
Well, since the letter V is pronounced B in the Japanese language, his name would really sound like BABA, too close for comfort as it similar to Boba, so in the English version, they changed it to Vile (sounds better IMO.) to avoid any lawsuits from George Lucas. His Japanese name sounds silly for a name itself. Besides, his helmet is a huge giveaway, of course.
So the name "Vava" was really just another part of his whole design that's making nods to Boba Fett. It's still a dopey name, and not just for a villain.

Yeah, to put it shortly, that's basically what his name is all about. And I couldn't agree more with you. His Japanese name is pretty dopey. I hate it.
Even if it is just speculation, it sounds pretty logic to think that Vava is a mock-up name for "Boba"(Fett) Zero has a light saber, another reference to SW.
