    Well it literally says "Those who win (out) in the end are the winners", but TL-ing that way would be... kinda of a "People die when they're killed" moment, so have to adjust things a bit to convey the reading between the lines.

    Anyway, adjusted the TL and slapped on a TL note for clarification.

    (In the context of horse racing, "winning in the end" would refer to actually crossing the finishing line, as opposed to say, leading the pack early on Twin Turbo-style.)

    It's the equivalent of lose the battle, win the war. Doesn't matter if you're slow out of the gate if you're the one that crosses the finish line first.

    The last to win is the win to last.
    Original also has a slight grammatical wordplay. Basically expressing the sentiment that "those who win in the end" are the ones remembered for being "victors" (as opposed to those who won early on but lost in the end).
