There are so many terms it's hard to remember them all.
Anyway, I've run out of taco energy again, so I'm done for now.
    Nancha
    Toncha Nancha Shaacha Peicha Chiicha
    Kamicha Shimocha Toimen
    East Wind Round 3
So in episode 1 of the anime, based on the seating arrangements from my perspective, the kamicha was Nodo-chan, the shimocha was Saki-chan, and the toimen was Kyoutarou.
General term for players other than yourself
Also, the term taacha is used when generally referring to the players other than yourself.
    Nancha
    Nancha
    Peicha
According to the seating arrangements (absolute positions)
According to one's own perspective when viewing the seating arrangements (relative positions)
    Taacha
    East Wind Round 4
Then, from your own perspective, the player on your left is called the kamicha, the player on your right is called the shimocha, while the person across the table from you is called the toimen.
Ooh! As expected of the club dog! You've got a pretty good nose for these kinds of things!
    Peicha
    Shaacha
    Toncha
    Shaacha
    Toncha
By the way, the first oya of the match is also called the chiicha.
This barrage of new and complex terminology must be pretty hard for the uninformed readers.
    East Wind Round 1
    Shaacha
    Nancha
    Toncha
    Peicha
In episode 1 of the anime, for the very first round of mahjong that we played, Saki was the toncha, so that meant I was the nancha, Nodoka was the shaacha, and Yuuki was the peicha.
    Toncha
    Peicha
    East Wind Round 2
The oya (toncha) changes in a counterclockwise direction when the round changes.
Yeah! ...Wait, I'm not a dog!
Well, it doesn't really matter because we're out of space either way, so we're done for now.
    Shaacha
    WHAT DID YOU SAAAYY!
I thought it would come to this, so this time I came prepared with some tacos!
    Bye bye~
    Next episode, Kyoutarou Dismissed!
So in this case, Saki-chan would be the chiicha.
    Haa~ So tired, so tired.
    Tacos are so yummy~
