I don't really know how consistent Isiyumi's works are supposed to be, relative to each other, but wouldn't this mean that the wheelchair-bound, crippled, almost-near-death old adventurer somehow healed and got back to adventuring without the knowledge of his demon wife and then got captured ?

It's hard to tell really, especially since the other comic isn't translated, but I wouldn't put it past him to connect them like that. But true, better to wait until there's some concrete proof the two are connected
